Oh yeah, so we're checked into the hotel and had a nice dinner with the family (many of whom were able to make it downtown despite rush hour traffic) and are now waiting for the line at the convention center to get shorter before going to pick up our badges and stuff. Then the first full day is tomorrow.

Well, the big summer combo vacation is now over. I have a bunch of catching up to do here, but Otakon also inspired me to dive back into my anime backlist, so I don't know how active I'll be. Anime inspires a lot more passion in me at this point than The Hobbit does.

Same here Its been grey, drizzly and notably colder for about two weeks now after an otherwise good sunny summer. Even the trees seem to have given hope of a late summer burst and are starting to turn to autumn colours.
