I reckoned Moffat as going to make this as painful to watch as possible- and by the sounds of that Norc thats exactly what he is going to do to us. Sad  MOFFAT!!!! Evil or Very Mad

"Matt was in brilliant form at the read through for this year’s Christmas Special, written by Steven Moffat. In fact, seeing him back in action as the Doctor made us want to fast forward to November to see the eagerly awaited 50th anniversary special!
Tweets on the read-through were also made by DWM editor Tom Spilsbury: "The Doctor Who Christmas readthrough was lovely - and rather moving. Matt Smith has been a terrific Doctor, but he's also a true gentleman." Make-up designer Claire Pritchard said: "Quite an emotional day at the doctors today he was reading a story." Having been working on Steven Moffat's other series, Sherlock, she added: "Is it rude and disloyal to leave a consulting detective for a Doctor I feel dirty!xx "- DW website

Well, of course it's frightening! Everyone in their right mind would be scared if they knew or sensed that their regeneration is about to happen soon.

I don't wanna watch a Christmas Special with a gloomy Matt Smith Sad

I dont think it will be gloomy, emotional yes, but Moffat doesnt tend to write pure gloom.

Ive never found Moffat's writing to be gloomy. Its just not his style. It can e dark, or it can be sinister (Angels, Silence ect) but not gloomy. I dont think Who has ever been gloomy, its basically an optimistic show.

There we differ Figg, I dont find Amy's story gloomy at all, difficult yes, often uncomfortable, yes, but not gloomy.

Nice vid-

As I said there we differ- I dont think she has only a gloomy time- she also has a lot of fun otherwise she wouldnt say things like "Ive missed this".
Rory is one of my all time favourite Who characters- I dont find him in the slightest gloomy and I find the ending moving and fitting

Hey for some reason the US version of the boxset also comes with  'a bonus gift in the form of the original Doctor Who Universal Remote Control Sonic Screwdriver, three artwork cards featuring the three Doctors, plus an exclusive comic book.'

They get a free universal remote sonic and we get bugger all! BBC!! Evil or Very Mad

Figg- not that we know- but then Moffat is master of surprises and secrets so who knows.

Tried the link for you Petty and I got redirected to the main TV page on that site.  The options they had listed were mostly local American TV stations.  I tried searching for BBC One through the site's search function and it came up empty.
