Well it wasnt meant as an insult, but you seem to have some ignorance of Scottish finances and industry and suggestions that we build windfarms everywhere or will be left to lie in our bed does seem cavalier to me.

More kilt malfunctions perhaps! (Although my money is on it just being that Games are a lot more fun than the po-faced Olympics, and like Queen Vic before her she gets treaty normally by folks at Balmoral, I think thats why the Royals like it there so much- we Scots do respect, but not airs and graces so well)

Talking of which if anyone hasnt seen it Id recommend Mrs Brown (and I am fervently hoping against hope this is the sort of Connolly performance PJ is going to bring out- what I actually think we will get is a caricature of a loud violent comedy Scot pretending to be a dwarf sadly)

Is it just me or does Prince Charles look a lot like George W. Bush in that picture above?

Mrs Brown is a wonderful movie. Billy Connolly is largely unrecognizable, I can't figure out why they cast him though he ended up being perfect for the role.

I think the Queen preferrs Balmoral because she is passionate about horses and the huntin fishin shootin country life. I think she can relax and be herself in Scotland away from court.
