Off the top of my head I'd guess that this is a territorial move on the part of the whales, not for the entertainment of the humans. But that's just a guess.

I still like being amazed at how little our eyes take in. That golf ball is a prime subject. Our brain buckets are deceived time & time again. Oh wait a minute.... thats the answer....... someone hit peejers on the head long ago with a golf ball, now I get it

Jogging shoes on ice=not a good idea. You do slide around the place. Though I have 28 years of training in not falling, so I don't usually fall, it can still be pretty scary.
