Sorry about the continuous rain, but it's got to be better than stifling heat-waves!
Here it's a balmy 74 degrees ((74 F-32) x 5/9 ~ 23 Celsius) with clear skies but a slight chance of a latent thunderstorm later in the afternoon. I'm hoping to pack a lunch and go canoeing/kayaking on the Upper Iowa River today, so let's hope any weather holds off until after that.
Last time we had a thunderstorm roll in just as we were rounding one of the last few bends, which was just really cool and fun to have this big storm rolling in as we paddled for shore. Very Romantic in a 19th century sort of way.

That does sound good fun I cant remember the last time we had a rollicking good thunder storm ? I like being out in them, especially if thundering at night, makes me go "oooooh" all over All we get is a flash so tiny your not sure if you saw it or not ? & a rumble so low & short its more like an impending fart, ( doesnt even get to that 
)

I knew it had something to do with air pressure but wasn't clear on any of the details. That's actually really interesting. I'm gonna be checking for this air hole next time I'm at the gas station probably.
