That is Ted Nasmith.Anyway, I recently ordered this role-playing game called The One Ring. It has some nice artwork in it by John Hodgson, John Howe, and others.
Personally I feel that Middle-earth should have more cheery beauty in it and less drab, but I imagine they're going for a certain mood.

I see my deliberate mistake ! I was meant to post a pic by some Italian named geezer & Lo, Ted turned up instead Games are no different than books or films in my view. You can see some stunning art work in them.
