Re: Sherlock - BBC [2]
possibly spoilery behind the scenes fan-filmed stuff from series 3 wonder why he's not dressed up as usual.
- Spoiler:
Re: Sherlock - BBC [2]
Well in the books he is a master of disguise, Sherlock hasnt really touched on that, the closest they've come is in the Scandal episode, when in a nod to the original story he pretends to be an injured vicar to get in the front door.
Maybe he will be doing more of that.

Re: Sherlock - BBC [2]
yeah, i guess in the bbc one, his disguise is more the acting like when he asks to be let in in that appartment in the blind Banker and getting the information form that wife.
Re: Sherlock - BBC [2]
on another note, or the same Benedict does a lot of impressions
http://www.radiotimes.com/news/2013-10-16/benedict-cumberbatchs-greatest-ever-impressions (lots of vids, can't be bothered uploading them here)

When he's not busy channelling Sherlock, collecting awards, polishing his cheekbones and looking snappy, Benedict Cumberbatch likes to spend his time fine-tuning his impersonations. Loves a good impression does Benny, and on occasion he's been known to show off his expertise in public, most recently in an Alan Rickman rap-off on the Jimmy Fallon show last weekend...

“
“John is still, he’s stoical, he’s very watchful, he’s very very strong-willed, a strong-minded person, he’s not easily flappable.
You know he’s an alpha male, he saves lives and can kill people; like if it wasn’t for Sherlock he’d be the most impressive man in the room, you know because he’s knocking about with someone who’s even more fucking alpha than he is. All of which is interesting to play because you’re playing someone who is very much their own man, they’re very strong.
He doesn’t do a lot of vocal flourishes, he doesn’t do a lot of showing off, it’s just he’s still in a way that I envy about some men. He’s got a real strength to him.”
”
— Martin Freeman on John Watson
Re: Sherlock - BBC [2]
yes. what? it's the type of person he is, like, if he's in a room where sherlock is not, he will be the man in the room, like that kind of natural-leader stuff, the one who don't have to say alot but is very much present.
Re: Sherlock - BBC [2]
It's just that Freeman's Watson doesn't fit the sort of stereotype I normally associate with the phrase "alpha male" (this is a good thing IMO; it's not a positive stereotype). Or "natural leader", for that matter, but it's hard to say since he's unusually driftless when we meet him and is overshadowed by Sherlock after he meets him.
Re: Sherlock - BBC [2]
well, when sherlock is present he kinda is in his shadow, but he is still a very strong character, mind u in the beginning of season one he is kinda broken down, but yeah.. i think the thing is that sherlock and watson are both alpha males .
