Re: Sherlock - BBC [2]
Glad you enjoyed it Chris. The first episodes of both series blew me away when I first saw them. The first because I was amazed that such a good show had been made, and the second because it had somehow gotten even better.

’A double friday post from Arwel Wyn Jones today to close out another week of work on reconstructing 221B.
The top features a view from the very back of the kitchen - ‘We have windows!’
While the below features a member of the construction crew (we’ll admit we’re at a loss when Arwel asks) - ‘Friday feature! Who’s in the frame?
Re: Sherlock - BBC [2]
Haven't watched it yet but I assume will contain spoilers for series 1 and 2

I kinda figured you might have.

You just got home at what I estimate was 4 damn 30 am? That's a schedule for a swinging New York bachelor trying to reclaim the prime of his life, not a wholesome young Fyordian hobbit!
{{{ Yes Petty, I as well have had words with her before this! Bloody well have! If she's doing this already, what's she got to look forward to later in life? She'll have to go out all night trashing entire townships before lugging home a couple sixpacks for a morning pick-me-up just to say she's entered the adult carousing stage of life. }}}

Early on I posted a rant about the episode. The scene where sherlock does a molecular analysis using an optical microscope ruined it for me. It really doesn't take much research to realize this is the equivalent of using a wrench to fix an electrical problem, and disgusts anybody who has the slightest bit of scientific knowledge.

Re: Sherlock - BBC [2]
Hound is my least favourtie Sherlock episode. Of all the stories I thought it translated the poorest to modern times out of the ones they have covered.

I thought it was one case where they should have stuck closer to Doyle's original, with their own little quirks and twists, surely, but leave the atmospherics of the moor timeless and untouched! No goddam hidden laboratories!

also, we took the bus home, and he was so nice the driver, he drove a bit further than what initially was his route and we didn't have to walk for really long he was so nice! we stood in the front the whole time and talked, even though the bus became more and more empty and there were seats available

nobody can resist a couple teenage girls who are feeling chatty. There's a basic cheerfulness there that gets lost once one has a regular job.
