Re: The Hobbit on home video
I'm pretty sure a bunch of people filled out the pre-release version of this survey, but that team of university researchers are looking for information on audience responses to The Hobbit.

Re: The Hobbit on home video
If PJ had done a purist version of LotR's there would have been two nudity scenes in FotR alone- the bath scene at Crickhollow and running about naked on the grass for the sheer delight of it after the barrow.
There is also a particularly brutal and savage killing in RotK with the orcs in Cirith Ungol- the one where he stabs him over and over, leaps up and down on the body and pounds it, before finally having one last stab then licking the still warm blood from the blade.
I wonder what rating that would have got!

I was hoping maybe it would mean Tauriel, but she's not showing up until DOS so who knows.

Cool vid, thanks for posting, Norc. My respect for Armitage just rose a few notches - at least he's got a bad conscience about it!
My respect for Cate Blanchett, however, dropped a few - how can she praise Jackson for his biggest fault!

Re: The Hobbit on home video
I think I like R.Armitage a bit more than I did before. Theres a humbleness about him. C.Blanchett may have been starry eyed over PJ but, winner of the "open mouth Duffus" award is.........Phillipa boyens. she never fails to entertain !

Re: The Hobbit on home video
yeah, Armitage really wanna take his character seriously, also he says he'll grow it out when he's king.. wonder how fast dwarf beards grow...
also, i am a bit confused, why is Blanchett "stary eyed" and what did Boyens say that was so entertaining? i didn't get that..
