Hi everyone.

I know. It's been a while.
I grew up on older classic movies. Everything from the black and white movies from "Singin' in the Rain" on up. One of my favorite genre was the Spaghetti Westerns. When I mention any of these movies to kids my age (15) I get the dear in the headlights eyes. Anyway, because I'm into music, I love how the slow pace of movies like "The Good the Bad and the Ugly" was made exciting by the music written by Ennio Morricone.

Here is my tribute to the movie "The Good the Bad and the Ugly".

You surprised me with that one Elena, I hadn't pictured you as a western fan, but that was really very well sung. And as Ringdrotten says, it seems like a difficult one to sing so well done indeed.   

Speaking of spaghetti Westerns...here's my "Jill's Theme" from "Once Upon a Time in the West". This was the first song my Opera teacher taught me when I started with him back in 2011. This is a remake of the audio from June this year but the video is the original so I'm a bit younger.

You may be the only one to have sung the Ecstasy of Gold, I don't remember how it was done in the movie. I'm glad you got in the 'Sergio Leone' shot, just the top of the face in close up. I was waiting for it...

Nothing has changed since Halfy save they may have got fiercer since then!

Well, anything by Sergio Leone is no common western.  He took the concepts of the western and distilled it far beyond what any Americans were capable of.  Too close to the source material I think to see the essence clearly. He moved it from a craft into an art form.
