that Francis Urquart is chilling.- Mrs Figg

I always thought Richardson would have been a good choice for Saruman or Gandalf, shame he passed away. Sad

Watched a chunk of Yes, minister/Prime minister recently, and heres 4 short clips that seemed to me to have in some way a particular relevance still in todays UK.

Given our current Cabinet is made up of multi-millionares who all went to the same two universities, and devolved parliaments in Scotland, Northern Irland and Wales, I present this-

Who reads the papers?

A UK perspective on Europe.

Opinion Polls- the truth of.

been watching Elementary (in Italian) and its dull. I dont know if its the lost in translation thing, but its dullsville. Watson just stands around looking gimlet eyed, and Sherlock has all the charisma of a wet paper bag.

i like elementary. it's not as good as Sherlock, and the plot is kinda.. easy going, and there are some stuff i find weird (like the whole Irene adler business and Watson constantly trying to figure SHerlock out and "helping him" and idk.. teaching him stuff. and it also takes much longer time (half a season) before Watson understands they are meant to be (as partners, not married or wahtever) and the episodes are short) BUT! there is humour there and i must say i really love Jonny Lee MIller as Sherlock. He's very different from Benedict's, but he has this esoteric and ecentric adn .. i can't put my finger on it, but i really love his sherlock.

I may have to try elementary again now that it may have found it's groove. Just found the pilot so disappointing I couldn't even watch half of it.

To anyone with access to the BBC Iplayer I would, highly, highly recommend giving 'Wodehouse in Exile' a watch. A dramtisation of how PG Wodehouse was put on charges of treason at the end of WW2.
I found it very emotional and thought his releationship with his wife particularly well done.
No idea as to accuracy but great tv with some great lines that will delight anyone who likes Wodehouse and some real emotion in it too.

Wodehouse front room in their house in France 1940.
Suddenly the door bell is rung.

wife- Who could that be?
(Two nazi's on motorbikes go by the window followed by troops)
PG- The German Army.
wife- Well what do they want?
PG- World Domination I believe.

But its full of great stuff- well worth the watch I'd say.

Gillian Anderson got great reviews for that role. She's done so little since the X files, which made me a fan of hers. It was sort of the heir to Twin Peaks, and nothing has really replaced it yet.

I see in today's paper that The Bible, a US tv production is coming to UK tv.
I assumed as it was shown on the History Channel in the US that it was about the Bible- but no its just a dramatization of the Bible.
So what the hell is it doing on a History Channel?- what they got lined up next- the Exciting Adventures of Thor?! Mad
