Pettytyrant101 wrote:PJ gave us thirteen characters pretending to be dwarves and some of them he made, well, rather hunky. But did it work, did Forumshire drool and go slack jawed at the hunks on display?
Lets find out with Hunkiest Character.
And the winner is......Thorin.
We might not like the character but we'd jump at the chance to go for a drink with him it seems.
It perhaps should be mentioned that despite Fili/kili there was only 1 vote between Thorin and second place...Gollum. Make of that what you will Forumshire!
hold the fuck up. what?! i mean WHAT?! WHAT THE HELL?! how can he win worst dwarf and hunkiest dwarf!? and Gollum?! ARE YOU GUYS HAVING A LAUGH! JUST TAKE A BLOODY LOOK AT KILI AND FILI!

Oh dear, PJ's changes to the character really do not seem to have had a postive effect on Forumshire citizens at all.
we're making paradoxes here, just saying

Finally we come to the final award of 2012. And its good, even when dealing with a PJ film, to try to end on a positve note.
And so we come to the last award of all.
Waiting can be exciting, infuriating and seem to go on forever, and all the time anticipation is building.
But which aspect of the film did not disappoint us? What one thing was just so, just as we hoped it would be and lived up to all expectations?
The award for the Part of the Movie that was Most Worth the Wait goes to..................Martin Freemans performance as Bilbo.
Yup, even this crabbit host must say, 'the lad done good.'
And that is it for another year folks! Thank you to everyone who suggested nominations, everyone who took part, who voted and who have commented and made it all so much fun every year to host.
So with these wise words, 'read the NotP and drink buckie, they are maybe good for you' I bid you all, ladies and getlehobbits of Forumshire, a goodnight and heres looking to the 2013 Forumshire Awards!

Re: The 2012 Forumshire Awards sponsored by NotP and Buckie
well, anyways, big congratulations to Martin Freeman and Richard Amritage's (and partially to blame PJ's) Thorin Oakenshield for winning the most wanted awards (except the slap-award and worst dwarf-award)
Re: The 2012 Forumshire Awards sponsored by NotP and Buckie
I'm glad to see Martin Freeman getting some much-deserved love. I've said my piece on him elsewhere so let it suffice to say here that I'm very glad he's the actor we got as Bilbo.

I think last of all we should all give a good round of applaus to dear Petty who has spent his time preparing this and everything.
we're very grateful to have you, may your beard never stop growing.

Re: The 2012 Forumshire Awards sponsored by NotP and Buckie
Thank you very much to all the the winners, nominees, and other members of Forumshire who make this place the very special forum that it is. The Forumshire Awards are one of our oldest and most popular traditions, and that is because they are a celebration of the people here. We wouldn't exist if it weren't for the people who choose to spend their time -- out of the whole wide world of the Internet -- on our little home away from home right here. Thank you all very much.
And of course, last but not least, we all owe a very great debt of thanks to Petty Tyrant and Pure Publications for their tireless efforts to build and grow the Forumshire Awards over the years. I was blown away by the very first ceremony and somehow Petty always finds ways to top himself each year. I think I speak for everyone when I say that I can't wait for next year's ceremony. Here's to everyone having a great year in anticipation!

I hope everyone who couldn't be here for the second night of awards enjoys reading through this thread. And don't forget the afterparty, starting right here and right now. Sponsored by State News and featuring Queen Tin's finest raspberry buckie!

Also, let me say before I forget that Ringo needs to win Best Male or something similar next year.

Also, perhaps next year we should have a Best Dressed Award, because all the fancy avatars was one of my favorite parts of this year. I took the liberty of preserving them here so that even when everyone changes back we'll be able to remember them.
