Re: More Hobbit pictures [2] SPOILER THREAD
I notice that they've given Thorin rather striking blue eyes. Is that Richard Armitage's natural eye color and/or are they playing up the heartthrob level?
Re: More Hobbit pictures [2] SPOILER THREAD
Is this the first shot of the Lonely Mt we've seen?

Re: More Hobbit pictures [2] SPOILER THREAD
If I had to guess I'd say it's the mountain with the Eagles' eyries, since the trees and orange flames(?) appears to depict the rescue of the Company from the wargs at the feet of the Misty Mountains. It's possible that it's intended to be the Lonely Mountain though. The poster is a bit haphazard in its construction.
Re: More Hobbit pictures [2] SPOILER THREAD
I assumed it was a mix of scenes Eldo rather than depicting any single one- which might explain its messy appearence.

I think we saw the Lonely Mountain in the first scroll that was released (back when it was going to be 2 movies). As I recall there was a conical mountain looming in the distance as the barrels floated down the river in the final 'frame'.

Re: More Hobbit pictures [2] SPOILER THREAD
I don't think so. This one looks taller, craggier and perhaps a bit smaller than I'm remembering, but I could be wrong. Don't know if I can find that old scroll now, but I'll take a quick look.....

Re: More Hobbit pictures [2] SPOILER THREAD
i think it is the lonely mountain.. or not, but like supposed to make us think in that direction.
Re: More Hobbit pictures [2] SPOILER THREAD
I've been loading the scroll from July for over 10 minutes and I still can't see the mountain yet. Here's the link for the rest of you while i wait for my dialup server to catch up.

Yes, there it is in the last frame, just by the N of COMING SOON.
It looks like a breast with a nipple!

Re: More Hobbit pictures [2] SPOILER THREAD
Ive cropped just the end of it- I assume this is the scene you meant- dont look the same to me- not as sheer in this pic I'd say- Nipple Mountain!
I still say open barrels looks ridiculous- they would be swamped.

Re: More Hobbit pictures [2] SPOILER THREAD
Yeah, that's the one I was talking about. I'd assumed at the time that Mt Nipple was the Lonely Mountain foreshadowing the 2nd movie because all of the narrative flow of the scroll seemed to point to it and the red glow in the sky.
For now I'm betting the new image is the Eyre of the Eagles.

Re: More Hobbit pictures [2] SPOILER THREAD
I'm not sure I noticed Mt Nipple (lol) in the Scroll when it was first released. It doesn't seem particularly dramatic or imposing but maybe they wanted to have it semi-hidden as an easter egg.

That had been my original thought. Just look at how they hid all 3 trolls in the shadows in an earlier frame. I'm neutral on the theory now, but it's interesting to keep this image in mind as new info trickles in.

I've been reading some of the Hobbit reviews getting posted there but I don't spent a whole lot of time on Twitter.
Re: More Hobbit pictures [2] SPOILER THREAD
TV Spot #9 contains the first look at Smaug! Unfortunately there are no high-quality uploads on YouTube yet so if anyone finds one please post it here.
