Its the first time they meet, but not the last, there are still more meetings to come that are before when they had that kiss- thats time travel for you!
It does all work out if you sit down and try to work it out! But you might get a headache with the timey-wimeyness.
But you'll understand better how it all fits in by series end.

Nope sorry Norc -3 more episodes after that- but I am really keen on knowing what you think of the Girl who waited- and I dont have to be the Tyrant who waited a week to find out!
Actually you can watch those two episodes in any order- Night Terrors was supposed to be in the first half of the season- in place of the pirates ep but got changed around for some reason-

- I actually think it works better in the first half as Amy is wearing a dress in which she sometimes looks like she could be pregnant and there is a line at the end where the Doctor refers to Amy as being "In the Flesh"- all of which would have worked better in the first half.

- I mean she is in love with the Doctor and all that and we are led to believe, despite her being a human and him being 900 odd that he falls for her (I never did buy that) it just doesn't sit right. Whereas the Doctor/River releationship I can buy that, it feels more genuine to me and more likely.
If he was ever going to fall for someone then the time travelling daughter of his companions and a child of the TARDIS seems a much more likely sort of partner for him.

The Doctor falls in love with Rose because she treats him like an equal, he kind of depends on her courage and he trusts her, she teaches him what its like to be human, I think she is the bravest and most loyal of his assistants, they both would sacrifice themselves for the other. She is so much more than just a cocky cockney. I always found River to be a bit theatrical and fake, it never seems authentic to me, it looks like acting.

Mmm, I would say Donna taught the Doctor more about being human than Rose did.
Her falling for him I can beleive- its th eother way round- the Doctor falling for any human companion seems off to me. She what 20 year old human who knows almost nothing about the universe? He's a 900 year old Time Lord- its a bit dodgy.
For me when Amy makes a pass on the Doctor his reaction is much more genuine Doctor to me- shock and suprise at the very idea followed by a definite "no,no, this isnt what I do".
Time Lords arent big on sex- they were cursed millenia ago and cant reproduce biologically - Time-Lords are 'weaved' on genetic looms into family houses using their parents DNA.
The whole Doctor falls for Rose thing never worked for me partly because it just didnt feel like the Doctor to me.
