Loved watching the Cilla Black show. She used to knock on someones (anybodies) door and invite herself in.
Talking about the early 70s.
Dont think you could do that these days.
Someone told me you can't go round Carol singing any more because certain people get upset (annoyed) what ever.
Is that true ?
Can't believe i used to do that. Me a little 10-11 yr old knocking on someones door on my own belting out 4 or 5 songs.

And I only know Rowdy Roddy. Back in the days when Cindi Lauper was making "Goonies" videos for MTV with WWF wrestlers, Rowdy Roddy Piper was probably second only to Hulk Hogan in celebrity status. Not only did he have a kilt and bagpipes going for him, he had a certain crabbit wit...

Oh yes Dave, I remember. Wrestling was more theatrical, it was entertainment that got bums on seats & cash in the till. I remember "Macho Man " "Rick Rude" ( he was vile ) Lex Luger..............lots of them

I loved Minder- and almost entirely for Arthur Daley- a brilliant character superbly realised.
And he was in the best version of a Christmas Carol with his mentor Alistair Simm.
Amazing thing about the St Trinians films is when he played Flash Harry (very much a young Arthur Daley) it was already his 24th film, his first being at 14.

Is there something going round ? cos another actor has toddled off.
Stephen Lewis was the put upon inspector in sitcom "on the buses", he was in "last of the summer wine" & "one foot in the grave" & now hes gone.

I met the local Batman guy once at work during a superhero-themed event and it always made me smile when he turned up in the news. Tragic story here and especially senseless circumstances. 
He did great work.
