Norc, I dont know whether its my computer thats slow, but I cant get it to work, figures! I get to the first chapter Privet Drive, a few paragraphs from the story appear and then there is no indication of what to do next, I tried clicking everywhere like a whirling dervish and all its says to me is that something peculiar is happening, yes I know its peculiar, but it wont tell me what the f-ing heck to do next?. its annoying.

I think Norc is referring to making sure you have the latest updates to Flash PLayer- which a lot of internet sites use- more flashy the site more likely it is to need the latest version.
If you google Flash PLayer it should be the first on the list- Adobe Flash Player.

Thats the problem with you female types Mrs Figg- it is impossible to ever be 100% certain a female genuinely does not know how to do a thing and when, for their own devious and wily female reasons, just wish to appear as if they cannot do a thing (usually so some dumb bloke will do it for them).

well in theory I know how to build a wall or change a wheel, but the trick is to pretend you dont, get a man to do it, and then compliment him on his, a) big muscles, b) superior brain c) practical wizardry. that way he feels useful and I dont, a) break a nail b) get oil on my skirt c) look highly unwomanly and post modern.
