Re: A Song of Ice and Fire
Well, if the series finishes up all the plotlines before Martin does, it may help him finish!
- Spoiler:
- Though I wasn't happy with the way Bran's storyline finished at the end of Dance of Dragons, hopefully they'll come up with something less hokey.

Re: A Song of Ice and Fire
I think it would be safe to watch season 1 though, if you have read the first two books there wouldnt be any spoilers in season 1 that would ruin book 3.
well I dont think there would be

I am nearly done with book 2 now. By book 3... do you mean the 2 books for book 3?

I've just been through the first book and first series, Lance. And you can safely watch that without fear of spoilers.
I'm going through book two and series two now, so not sure if any stuff from book 3 was moved into the second series. Someone else can probably answer that.

Re: A Song of Ice and Fire
I do find the discussion of wether the series will catch up to George before he finishes the books quite interesting. He does seem quite adament that he's finishing the series with two more books. The first of which he's already a good bit of the way through.
As neither book 4 or 5 are any shorter than book 3, from what I've gathered, I gueess we will at least get two series for each of those books as well. That gives us at least another 4 years before the series catches up t what's currently released. And I think it quite likely the next book will be out by then. Which gives him another two years at least to finish the last book, but I don't think anyone really believes that that will happen.
So the question is, I guess, what will happen if the series finishes with the rest of the books before George finishes the last one. That's presuming that is the last one and that he doesn't reconsider, of course.

what I like is he is so attentive to the fans and seems ok with changing things, maybe if he sees characters like Tyrion are really popular with fans he wont kill them off so nonchalantly. mind you if he kills loads of characters there would be no one left to root for.

Speaking of crotches, what happened to Dany's crotch in that last picture? That doesn't look like smoke, that looks like air brushing.

Re: A Song of Ice and Fire
The Disney one is definitely cute, but I feel compelled to point out that How To Train Your Dragon is by DreamWorks.
