It's sort of a one year boarding school on a particular, often cultural, subject. It's the same thing norc and huffjuff is going to now, though I went to a different one, that focused on popular music (rock), playing guitar. And we went to New York for like a school trip.

You can imagine.. 100+ fjordlandian 19 year olds in New York.

Eldo!!!!! I was making a post five minutes ago and couldn't because it came up that the forum was down for a few minutes for 'maintenance'.
Why wasn't this scheduled and announced in this accursed thread?!! I'll be writing to the NotP about this!!

Exactly Blue- can we sue? I lost a post- thats wear and tear on my crabbit and time taken to rewrite and repost it, plus the mental strain of remembering what I had written five minutes ago through the fog of buckie. Got to be worth a penny or two?

Well, we can always try. Either way I'll get my fees payed.

I was asleep at that point so I can only assume it was a Forumotion-wide thing.

I noticed it was down .. I posted something and went to go back to the main page and it popped up maintenance. Was fixed just a few minutes later

On the main forum page In The Big Bad Serious sub-forum the thread listed under 'Last Posts' is 'SCOTUS rules that there is...' despite there being (at the time of writing this post) four other threads above with more recent replies.

Nothing major but still...

I haven't heard from him, no. He's an infrequent visitor at times, but I hope it's not a health related issue at play.

I actually had not noticed that; thanks for pointing it out!  I dunno what might have caused it but I got it to go away by making another post in the SCOTUS thread and then deleting it, which allowed a subsequent (undeleted) post to appear in the "most recent" column on the index page.  I'll try to keep an eye on this, but please let me know if you notice any weirdness again.

I misread that as SCROTUS!


In other news, "unread" threads still turn into "read" threads if I refresh the page after a period of time or something. Maybe it's when I disconnect and then reconnect later; I'm not sure.

The SCROTUS strikes again! That seems to happen every time this acronym gets used. Even worse than POTUS and FLOTUS.

Unfortunately the posts flipping to unread status has always happened.  I think it's just something in the way the forum's software is written.

servimg seems to be down.

I typically use imgur but I just tried servimg and I'm not having any troubles with it myself right now.

I wonder if we'll get that scheduled maintenance? Hell, it do seem somewhat overdue...
