You just gotta keep pushing forward.

Though of course the true spamathons involve posting things at least marginally relevant to the threads at hand, which can make them a little more time consuming.

That was the day that the Board Announcements forum (precursor to our current Site Issues one) was added to the site. BA is not present on the archive.org copy of the site from Dec 19, and the first post ever made in it was Ady's OP for the original scheduled maintenance thread. However, I don't think the addition of BA was the reason for the downtime. It was probably something server related, though I don't know for sure.

That thrice-damned Ady never fixed my registration - I registered in June or July, but for some reason I couldn't verify it or whatever - eventually I had to google around for a solution to the problems he was having with his own damn forum. Three months, it took! Or something close! Curse him!

Edit: Had to go back and check - it took three weeks, not three months Still, the pain.

Trying to get in touch with Ady was like trying to commune with the dead sometimes, it felt like.
