Scheduled maintenance today 12/20/08

Could be daylight savings time changing. The board's clock is set to GMT, but I'm not sure when it's set to change to summer time. But the default board time is what shows up when you're not signed in, whereas when you're signed in, it's whatever time zone you've selected from your profile.

We get 4 or 5 hours jump here if not signed in. It looks like GMT, but since you are squarely in GMT time it seems Eldo's suspicion of daylight savings time is right. It's a master clock for planet Earth.

I wonder if we have the only one?    Is forumshire secretly guarding the time for the whole planet and we don't know it?

Why did Ady say that the maintenance would occur on "12/20/08" when he was from the Isle of Man which (AFAIK) uses the British convention of month/day/year?

Not sure where to post this, don't feel like starting a new thread for it, just wondering if anyone else is having the same problem. I can't get Forumshire to load on my phone. I tried Chrome and Firefox, and I've tried via wi-fi and 4G.

I went to http://downforeveryoneorjustme.com/ on my phone and it says that hobbitmovieforum.com is not just down for me, but here I am on my computer.

I checked DFEOJM too and yep, their servers aren't able to get to the site, but it's not an issue for me on my phone or laptop. This is the kind of thing that I'd expect to go away on its own pretty soon but it it's still an issue tomorrow (after I get the chance to sleep) I'll look into it further.

What the buggery has happened to time in Forumshire since Ive been away? Has anyone told the Doctor?
All my posts have the wrong time by about -6 hours.

This has to stop, I have a hard enough time knowing where I am in the day after a few buckies without Forumshire paying silly buggers with me too

This came up in another thread too; the forum's time zone controls have been acting up. Go into your profile options (under "Preferences") and you can reset the time zone to the proper one for you.
