- The scene I was thinking of in 11th Hour which relates to Silence is this one:
It reminds me of the bit in Silence when he tells the Vashda to 'look him up'- this something RTD changed about the Doctor- in Classic Who the Doctor turned up and noone tended to know who he was- in the RTD era he had been about so long, done so much through time that he as a reputation- he is as good as a legend. This is something Moffat builds on and takes in unexpected directions as things progress.
One of my all time favourite Rory lines is in this episode too, when they are on the village green and Rory meets the Doctor for the first time and in the backgorund he says to Amy "But how can he be real? He was a game. You made me dress up as him when we were kids."- love that, tells you everything about their relationship and makes me laugh every time.

- She must get so confused.'- that made me smile because of Amy- poor Amy. The Doctor really cocked her life up- she has spent her growing up years being sent to psychiatrists to help her with her 'Doctor' delusion.
A part of their releationship- at least from the Doctors point of view is his guilt at having mucked her up so much. Its just a part of what makes the interactions between him and the companions in the 11th Doctor era so interesting for me.

- oh I loved that scene! the music and how like BAM!!! here's the new doctor!! And especially since he has a reputation now it's just so awesome. Got goose bombs when all the faces of the previous doctors came along and he just "yah, and me of course". nerdgasm.
I loved every line of the episode. I mean, yeah, that about Rory, but also when the Doctor said "the good-looking one" and he just like "thanks" and when the doctor had to borrow the computer, I laughed so hard!

The BBC have confirmed that the first official trailer for Doctor Who's next series will air on Thursday 2nd August, around 8:00pm on BBC1, with a repeat the following week.- Gallifrey Base
The Royal Mail is to release a set of stamps to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who next year, with the first day cover reportedly due on 8th January 2013.- Gallifrey Base
Thats the second time Who will have made a stamp. The last time was as part of a set back in 1999.

Ok, hang on in there Norc, this is where it gets complicated!
Watch this deleted scene once you have watched the angels two parter and before the vampire episode- it goes immediately onto the end of the angels two parter.

- The Doctor fist met River in the library as 10- and as she dies there that is the last time she meets the Doctor.
The Angels episode is the second time the Doctor meets River, and the second last time she meets him.
Still with me?
Basically they are going in opposite directions in time- every time she meets the Doctor, the less the Doctor knows her culminating eventually in the library and 10.
And every time the Doctor meets her he knows a bit more about her. We see it from the Doctors perspective so with him we learn more abouther every time they meet.
That make sense?

'Doctor Who was also represented by the TARDIS materialisation sound effect complementing Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody during the 1970s music section.
An additional segment to feature a video montage accompanying the theme tune itself had originally been planned but was dropped for timing reasons.'- Gallifrey Base
What a shame it was dropped for time! They could have lost 2 minutes of spinning beds for it surely!!

The way you just here it so oddly placed in the middle of a song for no reason rather leaves me with the impression the Doctor has turned up saved the Olympics and earth (yet again) without anyone knowing it and as is off, job done, to leave the humans to enjoy the show!

I noticed the tardis sound, but I thought it was my mind playing me cus I had watched so much Who lately! I also tried to look for the Doctor when he carried the torch but I didn't spot him. Also I loved the hobbity feel to it in the start and Voldemort appearing and all those Mary Poppins figures. And of course Arctic Monkeys! And mr Bean! And by God I was surprised to see the Queen and James Bond!!!

It's not like the Doctor to steal the spotlight even for a small cameo appearance, is it?
We'll probably have to wait for the next series to learn what REALLY happened.
