Re: Doctor Who [2]
Its TV Awards time again.
Im guessing voting is only open to those in the UK but you never know.
'Voting is now open for the sixteenth annual TV Choice Awards, with Doctor Who nominated in the same three categories it won last year.
The series itself has been nominated for Best Family Drama, which it won both last year and in 2010. This year again sees it up against spin-off series The Sarah Jane Adventures, as well as Waterloo Road, Merlin, Casualty, Holby City, Glee, Doc Martin, and Wild at Heart.
Matt Smith is up for his second award for Best Actor, a huge category of names that also includes Sherlock's Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman, all four Mad Dogs stars John Simm, Marc Warren, Philip Glenister and Max Beesley, and Merlin's Colin Morgan.
Karen Gillan is up for her second Best Actress award, and again sees her pitted against former companion Freema Agyeman for Law and Order UK; others nominees include Gillian Anderson for Great Expectations, Emilia Fox for Silent Witness and Miranda Hart for Call the Midwife.'-Gallifrey Base
If you are able to you can vote here- http://www.tvchoicemagazine.co.uk/tvchoice-awards-2012
Wonder who Norc would vote for?!

I really think that Colin Morgan has improved tremendously in the last Merlin series (though I've always loved him) so I might root for him.

It's more interesting that that! All those makeover shows for houses and people (10 years younger is a good one) and all those gardening shows! What's not to love?

Re: Doctor Who [2]
Sherlock is my lifestyle and I learn alot from it. How does that not qualify for a lifestyle show? it's fucking taken over my damn, fucking, bloody, hælvettes, tragiske, møkka life!! AAAARGHH!!!!!! rage!!

Well I'd vote for Who in the Best Family Drama; it's one of the rare shows that I used to watch with my family- still do when we get the chance! Though sitting on the floor and putting up with the constant nattering is rather irritating at times!

Re: Doctor Who [2]
I voted for merlin for best family drama.. I wanted to vote doctor who, but I remembered that I haven't seen one episode of it and well.. I've watched bits of Merlin.
Re: Doctor Who [2]
What's not to love?- Ally
That they are cheap nasty tv catering to peoples base urge to be nosey about others and which take away money from writers of drama and comedy and makes it harder for them to get programs made because the schedules are full of programs called How old is your dog? And Ten Things you will Never Be able to Afford to do before you Die'?
So long as Who gets your family viweing vote Ally I forgive you. (And Colin MOrgan was good in the last series of Merlin, plays an old crabbit man very well )
Norc! I gave you links to every episode you needed!!

Re: Doctor Who [2]
I think its right up your street too Norc- Who is right up everyones street- thats whats great about it and why its gone on for 50 years.
Only problem with your youthful lackadaisical approach is the BBC are quite strident on removing episodes so whilst they are legal to watch (its the site hosting them and the uploader breaking the rules) they do not tend to stay for too long.

Re: Doctor Who [2]
I don't think I've got access to the bbc shows that are only sendt in the UK I tried maneuver around at BBC's homepage, but I only got in at the scandinavian site and could only watch programs there :/
Re: Doctor Who [2]
Norc wrote:(btw.. why wasn't sherlock under "best lifestyle show"?)
Maybe because it's not a lifestyle show.
Re: Doctor Who [2]
The site let me vote despite having an American IP address so I guess they're not picky. To be honest, though, I skipped most of the categories since I don't watch very much TV. When I did see shows I recognized and liked I cast a vote though.
{{{Fingers crossed for Martin Freeman in the acting category!}}}

people here don't get my joke -.-" I was suggesting lifestyle-show because "Sherlock" has kind of become a (my) lifestyle ..

Re: Doctor Who [2]
Study? Over watching Who? You'd think an education was important or something, or that potentialy the entire future direction of your life depended on the outcome! (no pressure ) I dont know, youth today. Wouldn't have caught me studying at your age when there was buckie to be drunk and Who to watch- and see what a fine upstanding, well nearly, fine swaying hobbit I turned out to be.
