Interesting thing about the Doctors daughter is that in the original script RTD killed her off at the end, but he changed it after Moffat asked him to keep her alive, so who knows, maybe he has a plan for her yet.

Nice one Chris! Very Happy

There are 3 female Time-Lords whereabouts unknown - there is no information on what happned to them during the Time War. There is Susan the Doctor's granddaughter who was left in London in 2049 or somewhere about then after a Dalek Invasion. And then there was Romana, the 4th Doctors Time-Lord companion, she went on to become President of Gallifrey and was in charge when the Time War happened, but by the 10th Doctor episodes when Galllifrey returns Romana is no longer there and has been replaced by the reurrected Rassilion. But there is no mention of what happened to Romana. And thirdly there is the Doctor's daughter, well genetic daughter at least, last seen heading out into the universe in search of fun.

A piece of Who music I havent put up before (becasue it wasn't available before) tracks from the series six soundtrack. Sorry Mrs Figg but I am starting with Melody Pond's theme- regardless of what you think of her Murra Gold made a beautiful score for her character.

-I'll porbably addmore to this pst overly the increasingly buckied night! drunken To oblivion and beyond!!! Run!

ps I do requests if you have a bit of music you can remember from an episode good chance I know what it is and can post it up.

Yates talks about the proposed Doctor Who movie-which seems from this to be back on again.

'David Yates has been in the UK as part of the Warner Bros promotion for their new Harry Potter studio tour; during interviews afterwards, he was asked about the status of the proposed Doctor Who film by Bleeding Cool's Hannah Shaw-Williams, to which he clarified that the production was still very much in the early stages:
Yes, I'm definitely doing a Doctor Who movie, but I think where everyone got confused was that we're not making it for five years, or six years – it's a very slow development. I've got projects backed up between now and about 2015, and it's something I'm very passionate and excited about.
Speaking about the existing series under Steven Moffat, he said:
Steven’s a genius. I love his work, I think he’s incredibly clever. I love what he's done with Doctor Who, love his Sherlock Holmes. He's such a gifted man. But this is something that's a very slow burn and I'm hoping to sit down with him at some point and have a chat. It's just something that we’ve been talking about for a little while. (and on the continuity issues raised) That's all to be discussed. Because it's five or six years from now. It's weird because … what will the series be like in five or six years? But I'm very excited about it, very excited about that world.'- Gallifrey Base

This was posted today, April Fools Day on Gallifrey Base but I think is probably genuine. I certainly hope so.

'Filming continued on the series yesterday with work progressing in studio with the Dalek opener, generating banter between Steven Moffat and Arthur Darvill on Twitter.
SM:"After extensive deliberation, THE DOCTOR HAS SPOKEN. Matt Smith likes the sixties Dalek best."
This just in: Amy Pond concurs. The Last Centurian has yet to speak." - AD
"I could tweet several incriminating pictures of my favourites but I feel they may be. . . How do you say? . . . Spoilers?"
Moffat then released a photo illustrating the object of their discussion ...

Doctor Who [2] - Page 11 Image-4

John Sheppard, part of the FX crew, also commented on proceedings: "Job Saturday, watching Dr Who's Daleks explode at the Dr Who studios Wales. Working with Real SFX.Call time confirmed 08.00 at the Dr Who studios, for Dalek explosions. Looking forward to this one, big fan of the Daleks. Dr Who set looking good, plenty of Dalek mayhem, Dalek FX explosion went very well, just.Working late on Dr Who tonight, it was interesting to see all original Daleks since 1960 in one episode. The gun area of the Dalek just missed me, whilst it flew past burning!"

Original 1960's style Daleks- intriguing! But is it a hoax? I hope not I really do (note the FX guy said 'all original Daleks SINCE 1960- so every type there has been through the ages? Curiouser and curiouser!)

Not being an HP fan I dont really have an opinion on them as films- I've hardly seen any of them for a start- but I have noted the general critiscms around him on here for those films- and thats not a good omen.

Seems the Dalek episode is not a joke after all! The Official Who website has the following tantalising photos up-

Doctor Who [2] - Page 11 Bulletin_120330_02_03
Doctor Who [2] - Page 11 Bulletin_120330_02_04
Doctor Who [2] - Page 11 Bulletin_120330_02_05
Doctor Who [2] - Page 11 Bulletin_120330_02_02
Doctor Who [2] - Page 11 Bulletin_120330_02_01

The discerning Whovian eye will not just note that they are close ups of a Dalek- but close ups of different era Daleks, including a Time-War Dalek, an original Skaro Dalek and black and a red Controller Dalek at least- no sign of an Emperor or Special-weapons Dalek though. (Seems like an aniversary sort of thing to do- only this episode will be broadcast before the anniversary year has even begun- so what on earth has he in store for us for the proper anniversary if he is chucking in an episode with all era daleks in it now?!)
So Dalek Museum? Something timey-wimey? A red-herring like the cybermen in a Good Man Goes to War? What's Moffat up to this time? Autumn seems a long way away to find out!

well as I seem to be the only person that doesnt like Yates, maybe people will like the film he does of Dr.Who. I dislike him as much as you dislike what PJ did to LOTR so its pretty bad. But generally Yates had positive press but I cant understand why people cant see he is the man responsible for stripping out the magic of HP. Mad

I'm not a Yates fan by any stretch of the imagination. I'm not as hard on him as I used to be (I blame GB for softening my outlook on the HP movies in general) and I thought the Deathly Hallows movies were a step up from OOTP and HBP, but all in all I found the Yates films to be pretty mediocre. Except Deathly Hallows Part 1, I really loved that movie. I don't know why and I think I'm in the minority since most people seem to prefer Part 2, but I thought it was great.

More to the point though, I'm not even a Who fan but I'm still worried about the idea of Yates directing a Who film. Razz
