The kind where a foot must be placed in the small of the back to pull on the cords as the recipient exhales? I'd love to see it make a comeback. Healthier than high heels and over the top dieting.

Re: Tales of Home [1]
theres a sting in the tale does it have to be a recent tale or can it be an ancient one Halfy? cos I got a good old one.

Re: Tales of Home [1]
You can tell the old one, but might be good to frame it in the context of the recent visit. You know, the messenger that leads one into the fantasy world kind of stuff.

Re: Tales of Home [1]
hmm I'll try but its a true story from the 80s so it might be difficult, anywayz,
You'll have heard of Nico and the Velvet Underpants? well when I was sharing a house in Manchester (the one with Dave the drug dealer in the basement) my best friend was a nurse from Manchester Royal Infirmary, and nurses are a bit erm wild, they party hard, we shared the house with a motley crew of weirdos, there was the hippy architect (the one who answered the door to my parents stark bollock naked) and Mark a bequiffed poetical type. We would go to a place called Band-On-The Wall on Friday nights if there was something worth listening to, it was where unusual muscicians had gigs, so one night Nico had a gig as she lived in Manchester at that time, so we all steamed down because The Velvet Underpants were my friends faves. My girlfriend was already matey with John Cooper Clark and he introduced us to Nico, I was pretty starstruck and went quiet with awe, but my friend was a nurse and therefore without human fear. Long story short we got bladdered and a load of us went back to our house, I went to bed and woke up with this strange bloke who looked like a Young Alain Delon lying prone on top of my bed, (I was in my bed) I asked him who the buggering heck he was and he told me his name was Ari, he was Nico's son. I goggled and giggled and I think I screamed a bit, but it was the 80s.
