Well considering that the film includes giant robots from Russia, China, Japan, and Australia in addition to the United States (all of them being countries that border the Pacific Rim) I think it'll be okay on that front.

I'm pretty sure they're all working together. As for which robot strikes the actual final blow, I don't know since I haven't seen the film yet.
