Re: Future releases
Hasn't that already been done in that Brothers Grimm movie? And that series called Grimm (?)... and they were in "Hoodwinked Too" as well.
I'd rather see the new Reisen til Julestjernen.

Re: Future releases
I saw "Red riding Hood" & that was ok, so was "Snow-white & the Huntsman" to a point, but the trouble with modern versions of OLD fairy tales is just that, they are to modern. Fairy tales go WAY back in history. They were really meant more darkly, & they were, they were scarey & creepy, made you look over your shoulder. I dont get that feeling from the newer films. "Company of Wolves" wasnt so bad either. And then you get the milder Tales, like "sleeping beauty", but studios turn them sickly & "chic flic",which I dont like. Its nice to have a "happy ending",but I want to feel a bit edgy 1st, & not to make them TO gross,(like "Saw"!)

Re: Future releases
I think this is rather good I'm gonna see it and play spot the norwegian
btw, my mom wants us to go and see reisen til julestjernen, but I have heard it's not that good. At least I prefer the NRK version..

Re: Future releases
why they need to reboot fairy tales I will never know.. oh wait...£$$$$££££. I have not seen a good one yet, when I say good I mean Wizard of Oz good, or Timebandit good. Something that captures the zeitgeist (oooh get her!) well you know what I mean. The Bros Grimm one was so bad I walked out the cinema.

I've seen both movies you're reffering to (snowhite and red riding hood) they both sucked.
Re: Future releases
There's a new poster for the upcoming Star Trek movie featuring Benedict Cumberbatch. I thought Norc might like it.

Re: Future releases
It makes me even more curious to know who Cumberbum will be playing. I don't think they've said yet.
There will be a nine minute ST preview in front of The Hobbit but I think that's only for IMAX theatres.

Re: Future releases

Re: Future releases
Well he's the villain in ST, so I don't think we'll be seeing a repeat of Reichenbach exactly. Or if we do, it'll be Cumberbatch in the Moriarty role.
Re: Future releases
I wonder if that cityscape is supposed to be a futuristic London- or if they just nicked this building;
for their poster?
If it is London my money is on him playing Khan- genetic superbeing made in a lab from which he escapes (explosively of course judging from the hole in the wall in the poster). It being London would also give a reason for his accent, rather than the usual hollywood blockbuster excuse, that British = bad guy.

Re: Future releases
Interesting, I didn't even notice the giant pickle building in the poster. That's a good observation.
Re: Future releases
Either its London or the advertisers are trying to play on the Sherlock fans and the pose plus that building are deliberatly and subliminally meant to be reminiscent of Sherlock.

Re: Future releases
The first one is uploaded on a legit YouTube channel so I think it's real. It seems to be setting up genetic experiments and stuff, which leads me to suspect that Cumberbatch is playing Khan as was speculated.
Definitely looking forward to this either way.
