Re: Future releases
With any lucky series three filming is already on everyone's calendars since it was ordered at the same time as series two. It's been in the works for a while so there can't be too many new things that get in front of it. Once they actually complete the filming it'll probably be only a few months till the show is back on the air.
Moffat's and Gatiss' writing obligations on Doctor Who will probably do more to push things back if Sherlock ever does fall behind schedule.

Re: Future releases
He's English so obviously he is playing the villian Mrs Figg. I only hope the bad guy this time round is a lot better written than the last film or they would have been as well hiring a cardboard cut out for the role.
And if Sherlock gets delayed to make a piece of crap I will be even more annoyed.

Re: Future releases
Well, since PJ's adding so much other material into the Hobbit, I have a feeling Martin will hardly be needed, and Benedict is just doing voices, he could do that anywhere (and someone else could do the motion capture parts). Moffat should just kindly ask to borrow a corner of PJ's giant studio to film Sherlock. If PJ doesn't oblige, then we'll send Norc over there to change his mind (or Petty, but I don't want a murder on Forumshire's record )

Re: Future releases
I just watched trailers for some cute (Dreamworks?) movies. Animation is just getting really good these days, and the stories are better than several adult movies anyway, so don't judge me! We're all kids at heart here anyway!
Here's Epic, starring Josh Hutcherson, Colin Farrel and Amanda Seyfried
And here's Rise of the Guardians, starring Chris Pine, Alec Baldwin, and Hugh Jackman

Re: Future releases
Epic looks like it has a lot of potential but it also looks like a loose remake of Ferngully. The generic title isn't helping it. I think I'm going to wait for the reviews on this one.
Rise of the Guardians didn't really enthuse me with the initial teaser trailer but I liked this one a lot. I often enjoy DreamWorks' animated movies so there's a good chance I'll like this one too.
Did anyone else see The Pirates when it came out? Awesome Aardman goodness filled with geeky science references and Charles Darwin. Also it had Martin Freeman in it (with a scarf!). It's better than the trailer IMO.

Re: Future releases
Love Aardman- still got to see that one. Must keep an eye out for it.
Silent Hill:Revelations.
I thought this looked better than I was expecting- certainly as visually engaging as the first film.
And got Sean Bean in it so that should please Kafria and Mrs Figg at least.

Re: Future releases
LOVE AARDMAN! I'm gonna buy that movie. A shame really, they struggle a bit economically and their studio burnt down some years ago I believe
but hey! that dude from Sherlock in the hounds, Henry Knight, the one who plays a werewolf in being human, he's the albino pirate.

Re: Future releases
by the way, I saw some figs of Martin doing the voiceover, and it was hilarious how he acted and made faces.
Re: Future releases
I think we all knew that Avengers 2 would be in the works after how much money the first one made (that would be $1,461,368,487 and counting worldwide). It was just announced today that Joss Whedon has signed on to direct the second movie, and given how much I enjoyed the first one I'm happy to hear this. I hope the second will be able to live up to the first one, though it's hard to call them the first and second given all the individual superhero movies that are part of the same continuity.

Joss Whedon wrote:It’s an enormous amount of work telling what is ultimately somebody else’s story, even though I feel like I did get to put myself into it. But at the same time, I have a bunch of ideas, and they all seem really cool.

Re: Future releases
Back in the 70's there was a groundbreaking British tv cop show called The Sweeney- it was a bout a police unit who, go tth ejob done, lets say, their methods were whatever it took.
Heres a short clip thats a good example.
Now it has a big screen remake. Somehow I doubt it will be cinema shattering stuff in the way the tv show broke the mold.

Ayup Jason...
Isn't Ray Winston so one-Dimensional. And it just shows the lack of new Ideas and stories coming to the Cinema and TV. Crap.
