Re: Sherlock - BBC
oh good lord it looks difficult! though... i must! also I am trying to learn that Bach piece Sherlock played when Moriarty visited. That is not the reason, I've wanted to play that part for a long time since my dad always plays it. just to let you guys know how utterly truly a fangirl I am, and not really on purpose.

dunno why ceildh is, but I just think fiddle sounds to fiddlydiddlydoooaah! and it is more like traditional music and more happy and merry, and I sadly don't play that sort of thing, wish I did though.

Norc wrote:yeah, probably, but hey, it's a challenge xD (maybe Orwell could translate it into tabs and play it guitar, who knows ) btw, I do Irene's theme pretty well now, maybe... just maybe... i'll make a video (with a bag over my head)
The bag over the head thing works well with some of the ladies I've met! {{Mind, I've been told I should wear one myself before now... damn rude come to think! }}}

Re: Sherlock - BBC
Given my spelling of it I'm not suprised you dont know what it is Norc! Should be ceilidh- a sign of what the Union has done for my country I so rarely write a word in my own nations tongue I can't spell it anymore - and fiddle and accordian are the two essential instruments, a pipe or chanter accompaniement sometimes too.
Its a foot-tapping folk music (Country and Western is derived from it and Irish ceilidh music) and there are traditional dances with names like 'The Dashing White Sargeant' and everyones favourite "The Gay Gordons".
And of course there is a simply fabulous and incredible level of alochol consumption.
Its the sort of thing the young take the piss out of and mock- then one night they find themselves at one, drunk as a skunk, taken hold of by the music and up and dancing and whooping and capering and they cant believe what a great time they are having.
Ally everyone knows Barry White is the sure fire way to down a pair of knickers.
