Talking of Bard there was an interview in todays Sun with the lad playing his son. Didn't give anything away plotwise though.

'SCHOOLBOY John Bell is looking forward to an ‘elfy’ career — after landing a part in Hollywood movie The Hobbit.
John, 14, is the youngest cast member and stars alongside Billy Connolly and Orlando Bloom in the two-part Lord of The Rings prequel out later this year.
The young Scot plays Bain, heir to the kingdom of Dale, in the adaptation of JRR Tolkien’s book.
he revealed it was comedy legend Connolly, 69, who really charmed his mum Susan when she visited The Hobbit set in New Zealand.
John said: “Quite often at lunch, the crew organise live bands. And when Billy came on set, the first thing he did was to take my mum’s hand and dance round the catering tent with her.”
John admitted he was “incredibly nervous” going into the audition” He added: “I realised how massive this was and I really wanted to do my best.
“I hadn’t read The Hobbit before, but I read it straight after I got the part.
“My dad Iain is a huge fan of Tolkien, so he was able to teach me a number of things.”

I posted that in the new Countdown thread, but I'm not sure if I mentioned my thoughts on the poster itself. It's quite nice; I hope we'll get a glimpse of more TH characters as we get more posters. Wink

I'd rather Gandalf on my wall than Bilbo, though I guess either could possibly deter boys who enter my room (unlikely to ever happen so a moot point)

Was a time for a young man to have such a poster on their wall was a sure fire way of making sure no female ever spoke to them.
When I was your age if I had walked into a lasses room and it turned out she had a poster of Gandalf or Bilbo on her wall, and if it then turned out she also liked video games and sport and had excellent taste in music, I would have been trying to remember exactly when it was I had sold my soul to the devil!

I did my version of the Gandalf pic as I thought the original was too harsh and hyper real, so I put the setting sun behind his staff, as I think it was evening when he went to see Bilbo?

Best way I can put it is if the top version asked for a snog I'd be reckoning there was some bunny-boiling to come as the price of it- if the second one asked for a snog I'd be there quicker than if you'd said 'free buckie'. Nod

Some intresting stuff there- nice to see the warg scene is there and no hyenas! And Beorn in bear form.

On the not sure about that side of things- whats with the bridge? Where's that meant to be?
And on the NO, NO, NO side- open barrels- no Bilbo the Barrel-rider- so no boasting to Smaug about it. Mad

And 70% of the dwarves still just look like a bunch of blokes to me.
