Re: Future releases [2]
The trailer for that showed before TLJ when I saw it on Tuesday. Interesting premise at least!

Mumakil-sized roadsters. I could get into that.

Re: Future releases [2]
PJ isn't directing that film, only co-writing the script I believe.

Tom Hanks to Play Mr. Rogers in Biopic ‘You Are My Friend’ - Variety
Color me interested. I loved Mister Rogers' Neighborhood as a little kid. Add in Tom Hanks and it could be a winning combination.
The film is inspired by a real-life friendship between Fred Rogers and award-winning journalist Tom Junod. In the story, a cynical journalist begrudgingly accepts an assignment to write a profile piece on the beloved icon and finds his perspective on life transformed.

Re: Future releases [2]
Mr Rogers is a true enigma. His persona was a bit too much sweetness and light: you just know he went home and strangled puppies or something.

People have been trying to find dirt on Mr Rogers for years and despite him being a public figure for half a century the worst thing anyone ever found was the time an argument with his wife was accidentally caught on tape:

Andre Watts seems as sweet and nice as Mr Rogers. There's more than one!

Re: Future releases [2]
So this isn't a trailer for a real movie but I kinda want it to become a real movie a la Machete.
Re: Future releases [2]
Yes. That needs to be realized.

Re: Future releases [2]
I like that I didn't even recognize Margot Robbie at first. She just doesn't get tough bitch parts. Maybe now she will.
Edit: Just realized she got the Tonya Harding part.

Re: Future releases [2]
Reportedly this campaign is leading up to a Super Bowl commercial, but I'm not sure how they're going to top this.

It's good to see kid actors getting top billing.
In comparison, here's the first Harry Potter Trailer, note that the actor names are never presented:

Re: Future releases [2]
Han Solo might work. But you never can tell from trailers.

Re: Future releases [2]
arg, building him up too much as some special thing. You can almost hear the words 'destiny' or some similar shit. He's not some special thing, he's not glowingly unique, he's just typical rascally space trash that happened to do good. Get him right fer cryin' out loud!

Re: Future releases [2]
I'm hoping the film presents Han's bluster and self-importance as just that -- bluster, of the sort that Leia so expertly punctured in the original film. But yeah, remains to be seen if they'll do that.
Re: Future releases [2]
The point remains that a movie that no-one wanted definitely has more of a challenge ahead of it then a movie that people actually wanted.
And yeah, I know that some fans of Star Wars were excited when this title was announced, but I think a great many more were not!

Re: Future releases [2]
Young Han Solo was definitely not at the top of my list of potential solo spin-off movie ideas I was eager to see.
'S a real missed opportunity to call it Solo: A Solo Story story, though.
