Re: Future releases [2]
I really liked Lily Amirpour's A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night, it seems Hollywood noticed too. This may be a repeat of the discovery of Robert Rodrigues: small independent film catapults a young director into a career.

I think I read something good about that film. Iranian vampire films are hard to come by. I will definitely check it out.

Re: Future releases [2]
cool, I hope it is as quirky as the original book, not too 21st century sanitized.

Re: Future releases [2]
I'm a big fan of the first two Jurassic Park films but wasn't overly fond of 3 and 4, this looks more promising though, nice to see Jeff Goldblum back.

The animation style is so...bungobaggins wrote:chris63 wrote:

The frenetic movement, fake-looking physics, uncanny CGI.
The only good-looking thing in the movie are the visible human actors! Peter Rabbit going to London with a gaggle of other Beatrix Potter characters? Who green-lit this nonsense?

Well at least I can always approve of Rose Byrne.

In the original movie all they needed was a glass of water with ripples to create suspense.

I practically pee'd myself when Goldblum hurt his leg & he was on the back of the jeep yelling at them to get away ! Drive faster ! then that T-Rex broke thru the trees & I swear my bladder collapsed

I'm not sure if those eyes are intended to be as unsettling as I find them but ... yikes.
Re: Future releases [2]
Yeah, geez. Uncanny.

That Alita film looks like a video game adaptation.

Hey hey! I read the first Mortal Engines book way back in 2003 or something. Nice.
