Az - waking up to the fog this morning? -5c and thick fog down south.

Shame not in London today as probably could have gotten some great photos from above the cloud.

We had really thick soup of a fog all thru the night, & this morning, you hear the cliché " couldn't see your hand in front of your face", in this case it was true !
10 O'clock this morning...

In this last one, in the distance is fields & trees & a large Golf course. On any day you could see it all, green & twiggy, golfers dragging their trollys. Not today you could.

I love looking down on a field of fog from a high hill. It can feel like you've stepped out of the world for a moment. Smile

Oh yes Dave, it certainly did this morning. In some places it felt as tho I was standing on the edge of the world & there was absolutely nothing at all.

Same for me (in between Southampton and Portsmouth) we've had fog all day I think, if anything it seems to have got thicker (and colder) as the day has progressed...

pyrotechnics last night, no photoshop involved.  Shocked  actually it was a lot brighter orange in reality but my camera is not having any of it. There was a shaft of golden Minas Tirithian sunset down the valley. Very Happy

There's a Holy Loch? Looks rather dirty, actually; what's all that stuff floating in it? Baby Nessies? I whole-heartedly approve of the anachronistic use of black and white.

{{Its low tide- thats mainly wet beach with rocks, shingle and seaweed exposed. The head of the loch is made of flat land used for farming but its mainly sand underneath and pretty treacherous at that for sucking you in.
The village I grew up in on the shores of the Loch is called Sandbank- with some believing the name came about from ships anchored for shelter at the head of the Loch writing home 'from the Sand bank.' }}}
