Re: Game of Thrones Appreciation Thread
I don't agree that a medieval battle hasn't been properly put on screen. Branagh's Henry V did a good job of it.

Henry V looks like Blackadder compared to this battle. this is the Mediaeval version of the first 5 minutes of Saving Private Ryan.

"Accurate medieval battle".
The troops weren't nearly colourful enough to be medieval! They were a bunch of browns and greys! Where were the flashy bits?? Bloody amateur historical revisionists!
Oops I forgot which thread I was in... It's good that the Starks are back in Winterfell at least.

Re: Game of Thrones Appreciation Thread
Got to say, it's not been easy to lay aside the books and just enjoy the show this season, they've changed just about everything at this point. BUT: Ep9 was @%#!ing incredible, no episode of any show has ever made my heart beat like this for 30 mins straight. Fuck me, that episode made the entire season. I'm with Figg - speechless! And the best part is, it can't have spoiled much of the plot from the books (the obvious excepted), because they've got all the characters and plots so terribly mixed up anyway. It's all good

Re: Game of Thrones Appreciation Thread
But LF lies. All the time.
- Spoiler:
- also he loves Sansa and her mother. I think he will give Sansa the same kind of choice he gave to Ned, either you stand down the honour thing and ally yourself to me or its curtains. he wont just kill Sansa and Jon. Jon is still a bastard so is no legal threat, he thinks all the Stark men are now dead, having no news about Bran, who is now the legal king of the north, so he needs Sansa alive as she is the last Stark heir. LF may try to get her to marry creepy kid Robin, but its more likely he wants to marry her himself. Only Sansa is over marriage as a career, so it may be a standoff. Until Bran arrives. plus Sansa was on the verge of utter defeat, why would he save her if he is in league with Cercei? why not let Ramsey finish the job.

I don't know. I think Littlefinger's actual power is exaggerated.

His power is in manipulation and subterfuge. He doesn't have any real power, he uses other peoples power.
