Dear Meiko Electra,
Ever since you disappeared from Forumshire a few years ago, we've missed you and wondered what happened. We talked about how worried we were about you. So I started looking and to my amazement found your new website! It's really exciting to find what you have been up to.
I realize email correspondence may be difficult for you, so the group delegated me to ask if you would like to receive personal emails from us. It's not surprising to find you are an artist, for you touched each of us individually during your time on Forumshire. As artists do. It would be lovely to reconnect.
Best Wishes,
Julia (Mrs Figg)
Could use some work, but I think that's about the size of it.
yep that should cover it.

While I no longer have an @hobbitmovieforum.com email address, I wouldn't mind being the person to send the email, but I think Mrs Figg is better suited if she doesn't mind. And I like halfy's draft too.
Enjoy!

A lovely draft, Halfy. I vote for Figgy or Eldy too.
I'm on secret admin business for a month or so. You all probably won't even notice I'm gone. I miss hanging around here and chatting, not just lurking...

Re: Holidays and absences [3]
ok I sent the email
edit,
the email can back saying it could not be delivered, I used the one on the website and sent it through my email, it didn't look like an email because it had .com at the end, I am not sure how to send an email in this case.

Don't emails always have .com at the end? (or .edu, or .gov, etc.)

Well drat. Did you check spelling? There's no webmaster contact either, I think we're hosed. There is her old deviant art account, but that hasn't had a response from her in years. Still, we could post a message there and hope.

Okay, I posted a comment to her deviantart page. Not hopeful of response but perhaps she'll see it and know we care.

{{ Got a reply from Meiko! }}
Dear Amarie, Mrs Figg, Eldy, Halfwise, Dave, Chris, Lance, Pettytyrant and many others,
Thank you for your kind words.
Even though I disappeared from Forumshire, I have not disappeared from the Shire. In fact, I have just returned from rereading Lord of the Rings once more. So it is such a happy coincidence that you email me on this day.
I have also missed talking to everyone. Unfortunately, my injury has left me without the ability to write or speak, something for which I was known to love to do . So, I need assistance to write this email but, never fear, I am sitting here presiding over the dictation of it.
Art has given me the means to communicate and this year I had my first exhibition. Now I can invite you all to my next one, now that you have been lovely enough to find me again. I am also overjoyed at being able to come back to the forum, if you don’t mind me being more of a spectator this time as it is difficult for me to contribute as much as I would like.
Thanks again and meet you at the Forum
