Not much to add other than to also highlight social media skills and so on, which I am sure will interest heritage institutions that wants to have a SoMe-presence. Might be another way in the door.

Re: Holidays and absences [3]
I have apologised to Lance through a PM but he hasn't replied. I was abrasive in my comments but it certainly wasn't directed at him personally. I haven't changed my mind about the issue regarding Brexiteers, but I know that I could have been more tactful. As you said Petty, the BBST is for debate and sometimes people say stuff in the heat of argument. I do want Lance to come back and I promise not to be so...me.

Fuck me... I just wrote a big old post and my phone messed up and I lost it.
I will try again another time, maybe back in the BBS section.
But the TL:DR version would have been not offended, was a bit angry and then life was busy.

I don't understand writing long posts on phone. That's why Eru gave us laptops.

Was it really that long? Wow. I don't have a back door to her the way I did for Dave, but maybe someone has some info to perform a retrieval operation?

Re: Holidays and absences [3]
Our family wisely opted not to get together for christmas, but now with all the vaccinations my brother (who lives in colorado) sacrificed a time share so we could get together. So while the rest of the northern hemisphere is sweltering we're up among the aspens.
The ski villages still fill up with less well heeled folks taking advantage of the hotels, restaurants and shops among the mountains.
The above is Beaver Creek, a place my brother describes as "the place the billionaires built to get away from all the damn millionaires in Vail." One advantage of that is astounding art galleries.
We're not staying in Beaver Creek, but only about a 10 minute drive away. We've got a balcony. Balconies rock.

Re: Holidays and absences [3]
Driving through the town of Leadville, we saw this.
Of course you have to stop. The entrance had the proper feel.
This was no tourist trap, it was the real deal, largely unchanged since the day Doc Holliday would play the piano here (I had to do the same!)
And of course the back room is where the card playing, gambling and ladies happened. Also where Doc Holliday shot his last man.
It was an incredible feeling to know this was the real deal. Of course now they play it up for tourists, but this was actually the way things looked. (if you're willing to overlook the HD TV panel in the back, for starters).

I LOVE THAT BAR!! Its like something out of Return to the Future and an old Hollywood movie I could spend hours just goggling at all the details. I expect bustles are welcome.

Re: Holidays and absences [3]
Bustles would definitely be welcome. I wanted to take a picture of a table of locals (they fit right in with the facial hair and rough clothes), but it would have been rude - if had more time I would have taken the time to cosy up to them first, but we were racing for bed. The walls were filled with old time photos and even a long newspaper clipping of the Trial of Doc Holliday after he shot his last man. I need to look it up, but I took a quick snap: getting close enough to read means most is cut out.

If I were to guess, since I'm clearly at home doing boring stuff, I would say the house is built of stilts over the ocean and around an infinity pool.
If I were to be inside laying in bed my view would be similar to this.
And might look like this outside.
