Lol, Norc - always suave And no, it seems I dumped the two previous candidates.
Az - sand beneath the toes is pretty much spot on - nobody wears shoes here, half walk around in flip-flops and the rest go barefoot. Even to dinner, the floor is all sand. Smart casual, as long as you don't wear shoes

Quite a beautiful place to sit on a lounge chair in the dappled sunshine and enjoy a drink. I like the idea of going to dinner barefoot.

I think I'm seeing the whole images, and I suppose the reason they are sideways is because it's 90° around the globe?
Nice sunsets and all, but looks like the housewives were false advertising. That long snaky sandbar is cool.

It does have that feeling! Kind of like the end of the Voyage of the Dawn Treader book.

And now there was nothing but the roofs of houses, sweeping along like a great torrent of stones and rocks. Chimney-pots fell, and tiles flew from the roofs..."

The end of the world did cross my mind and yes, to hell with winter and those who love it so dearly.

Remember Hillbilly, the other cranberry farmer who used to post here half a dozen years ago? Well from 2,000 miles away he turned up on my doorstep over the weekend!
