I don't think it's like that. It's not about a destination. It's about the simple acceptance that the only way to change your status quo is forward motion. With the added sprig of hope, that difference might also mean something better. Because, as Azriel says, from misery there's only one way to go. Upwards. At the worst times, you will only ever feel better. Smile

all a person needs to survive is hope (light at the end of the tunnel). If you have hope for the future, no matter how feeble and nebulous it may seem, you can overcome anything. Its when you don't have hope that you end up shit creek without a paddle. The handy thing about humans is we tend to be positive thinkers, resilient, and find our ways out of the most horrible situations to fight another day. Just think of the people who have gone through the 2WW and can still laugh.
