Yup. (And a bit at my own expense, obviously.)

Aww.
Glad to hear that they'll get the tiger to an appropriate home instead of euthanizing it.

Re: Just...................whatever [6]
I love the last paragraph:
People "are requested NOT to call the Conroe Police Department or the Conroe Animal Shelter for inquiries about adopting/rescuing the tiger or coming to view it," Reynolds told ABC News today in an email. "It will not be adopted out, it will not be euthanized, and it will not be put on display."

Re: Just...................whatever [6]
I always dreamed about having a tiger as a pet, to snuggle up with in bed. Probably would only survive the experience for a few months, but might be worth it.

You could always inquire about adopting.

Although.. a tiger and an academic in a New York flat.. sounds a bit like an 80s sitcom.

Re: Just...................whatever [6]
It'd be like a less gritty reboot of Every Which Way but Loose.
Re: Just...................whatever [6]
I refuse to even have a dog in Manhattan - would never even dream of a tiger. Most animals need access to some degree of freedom. Cats are sort of okay as pure indoor animals because they can use a litter box, but I still feel somewhat uncomfortable with the idea of keeping them indoors.
If I ever get my dream of a job where I can live in the country, I might get some animals (maybe even a tiger?). But they need enough freedom where they can disappear for a while, if only into the bushes of the back yard. You don't know what they're doing, you may not even want to know what they are doing. But they always come back to you, and that's enough.
Same philosophy for friends, girlfriends, etc. Though I may often have a better idea of what my friends are up to than a cat.

They say, if you love something let it go free, if it loves you it will come back.
Tho the letting go can be hard, a leap of faith

Nah, thanks though. I really appreciate the positive reinforcement.
And I really do need to change my basic outlook on life, because that message is so true. From the right perspecitve life is all opportunities.

The very fact that you read it that way is rather suggestive of your frame of mind right now...

Re: Just...................whatever [6]
well, jumping of that cliff with no parachute will definitely go wrong..
Re: Just...................whatever [6]
Even if you only metaphorically jump off that cliff without a metaphorical parachute..?

Re: Just...................whatever [6]
I know guys who will happily hang glide off a cliff like that, but won't go near it without one: they are too afraid they can't control the impulse to jump.
