2014 Forumshire Film Awards!

WELCOME ONE AND ALL to the sort of annual Forumshire Film awards, hosted by your favorite trio of Valinorians: Beren, Huan, and obviously me, your gracious and BEST NOSED Queen Get ready for an awards that will blow NPH's snore fest of an Oscars hosting out of the buckie barrels! Get ready for Huan's amazing opening monologue and Beren's rendition of the Killiel love theme-- wait-- just kidding that was cut. Instead enjoy Beren's ode to Made up Characters instead! And of course, get ready for the borderline obnoxious product placement of Rasberrry Buckie in everything that's said. Like right now!

This year is particularly special since it is the end of an era (whether the end is sad or happy is still up for debate) and therefore the awards will include two parts: BOFA Awards and PJ Middle Earth Awards that encompass all six films! You will have one week to vote, and votes will be counted by sending me a PM with your ballot.

Before we get the festivities started, I'd like to take a minute to thank everyone who voted (11 people this year! It was great!) because now when we announce the winners you can rest assured that they were heavily voted for!

Just in time

Since I am only allowed to speak three times ever without encryption brackets, I will make this statement count.

The Hobbit Movie Forum was founded upon the hopes of a Hobbit film being made. Then we got two. And then three. The genies of WB granted our wish three too many times (idiots). Here we are, 6 years later and crabbit off the hinges. But of course so much good has come from so much bad, and that is truly what is celebrated here today. We come together to vote on the films we waited for so anxiously to make up for the fruitless reward we received from so much dedication.

And it being the end of an era, we acknowledge the entire box set of films made by that caffeinated maniac called Peter Jackson. A man who struck lightning and thought he could defy physics and strike lightning again. Although as we all know, PJ is about as good at physics as he is at brushing his hair. We honor these six films because we are at heart a forum that was founded by the discussion of the Hobbit films and it is our civic duty to pay honor to our roots.

So now we move onto our first award (and in my opinion the most obvious)...

No surprise Smaug won, but so many contenders for bad cgi! Wasn't sure who would get that one but Emo Galadriel is a good choice- the Lady of light indeed!
