The 2014 Forum Awards Nominations

Now some of you may think these awards are, just a tad, late. But you'd be wrong!  
A drunkard is never late, he arrives precisely when he staggers up.    Which luckily enough happens to be right now.

So first the boring legal stuff-

The Rules-

1. You cannot vote for yourself.
2. 1 vote per category.
3. Send your votes to my PM's.

Now its is highly likely, very highly likely, I have missed someone out, or put someone in a category they don't feel they should be, or left them out of a category they feel they should be in. This is perfectly normal and is a consequence of just how drunk I am.   For these reason there will be no voting until Wednesday- this is very important- DONT VOTE UNTIL WEDNESDAY 18th- this is to allow a couple of days to make changes to the nominations if anyone feels they ought to be changed- or to add in folks I may have missed out entirely. If you have been missed out there is nothing personal in that, its just my drunken memory and can be sorted- so speak up if your missing!
Oh and one last thing, I seem to have lost the list of folk eligible for Best Newcomer   - so if you could be so kind Eldo as to either resend me it or simply add it to the below categories, thanks. [Done. --Eldo]

What is the Fellowship award all about?

It's a sort of Life Time Achievement Award for services to the forum.
Eldo deservedly won it last year when it was introduced.

Well I think the Forum Awards really are a case of 'the fun is in the taking part'- voting, dressing up your avatar, getting in the NotP red carpet pictures, and (hopefully) just enjoying the show.

I didn't understand half the references in the intro video but I was giggling like a maniac throughout it. It's always great to see Forumshire come to life visually too.

I added the Best Newcomer section to the OP, so anyone who has sent in their ballot already should make an addendum of that. I'll be sure to get my votes in soon.

We're gonna need to open up the dressing room soon though so our avatars can be fancied up in time for Petty to edit them into the red carpet pics without having to stop and re-do stuff at the last minute like we made him do one year.

The source materiel was straight forward enough- the dance number is from Monty Pythons Meaning of Life- Every Sperm is Sacred (I knew I wanted a big dance number, but to fit Forumshire it had to be also silly and irreverent (and where else could I get appropriate dancing Nuns for Janesmith and Our Lady of the Ankle Length Frock)-  this seemed to fit the brief!)



And the rest is from Doctor Who (1st episode of series 8 with the Doctor getting to grips with a dose of Scottish crabbit in his system this regen!)



And also in the mix for the music to the bucjie ad is the Bad Piper's cover of Ac/Dc's Thunderstruck-



(Think thats everything in the mix!)

After that just a bit of Forumshire magic sprinkled over it.
