7 euros is a lot here though. you can buy your lunch for that. its about £5, but that's nothing in the UK that's enough for a coffee and a cake if you are lucky.

Most theatres here charge almost twice what Figgs paid, and they won't let you bring in outside snacks and drinks either! That's why I only hit the theaters a few times a year.

My local theater is $7.50 for evening shows, but then again they don't have those fancy seats or whatever they have at those big modern theaters. The concessions are expensive, but when I go I fork over the money for a pop and popcorn because that's how the theater is making money.

wow 14 dollars is a lot. I would have to be really sure I wanted to see a film before I forked out that amount. and if it was rubbish I would be really miffed afterwards. you cant afford a Clash of the Titans.

I paid £12 to see Clash Of The Titans in crappy post converted 3d, the film started late, the screen was jam packed with noisy gits shovelling popcorn down their gobs, and we ended up in the very front row about ten feet from the screen, my headache was more interesting than the film.

yeah the originals are great. I still find those skellingtons the scariest thing I ever saw in a film. Its the music and the way they move, I was terrified as a kid. they are more effective than any amount of cgi. odd that.
I think that was Jason and the Argonauts though. oh yep it was.

The original uses lighting really well and is suspenseful. The remake devolves into a bombastic action sequence with an explosion.

can't get soda's in but coats with large pockets work wonders for bringing in candy ... We buy the boxes like you get at the theater at the local drug store for $1 a box which is much better than the $4.50 at the concession stand. Saves me a bunch of money

I sneak candy into movie theatres too sometimes but I do feel kinda bad about it because I don't want the theatres here to go out of business. They make very little money on the films themselves (thanks, studios), which is why the concession prices get jacked up.
Re: 'The Battle of the Five Armies' in theatres | SPOILERS
Oh, that's child's play. Now try smugling buckie in.

Re: 'The Battle of the Five Armies' in theatres | SPOILERS
Hello one and all, Thank you for the entertaining BOFA bits. I have checked in here and there but as I have not seen the latest (and final, I pray to all the known and unknown gods) hackery of JRR's works by the Jackson clan, I haven't written much since DOS.
I have to date not spent a cent to reward the filmmakers for their bastardization of the Hobbit as a matter of principle. Staying true to that I now am planning on seeing BOFA tomorrow, as the chance has fallen into my lap unsought.
I am a little happy to finally be able to put this unsettled story to rest, although my stomach is already starting to tighten and feel uneasy. I surely don't expect to enjoy it much, if at all. Closure is needed however so I will take my dose like a good boy.
At this point all of you have digested and reviewed and worked this trash out of your bowels, at least with some success I hope. I don't anticipate needing to rant much or post a review after I see it and therefore reopen your healing wounds. Unlike the 1st and 2nd installments I am pretty much free of anger and the need to strike out with venom. Who knows though, after sitting through BOFA I may feel differently...
I wish you all well and I hope to view Pettys cut of BOFA sometime.
Peace and happy trails
