Re: Tales of Home [6]
I'm pretty sure we got at least two inches the other day, but most of it melted yesterday, thankfully.
Re: Tales of Home [6]
Yeah, we go about the same today. It hasn't snowed here since mid february.. And we were heading headlong into spring. So, was a nice little suprise.

Yeah, this last storm came right after several days in the upper 50s for us. Here's hoping spring comes for real soon.

It feels odd to be shocked by snow in March, it just came a bit out of the blue..
These aren't very interesting, but here are some pictures.

Re: Tales of Home [6]
Stumbled on this. When Sctoland found itself amidst a hurricane larger than it was we reacted appropriately- we threw out its noncey official name and gave it a derisory one to taunt it with- Hurricane Bawbag. And then as a national chanted "Is that all of you've got?" at it.
This footage is from the ferry crossing at the time, but you will note even the ferries show the typical Scots mindset by simply smashing headlong through it in sheer bloodymindedness.

Everyone was puking, even the crew ! sea & sick & smell all the way till we saw the White Cliffs of Dover so,

Re: Tales of Home [6]
The problem is that you bone-headed Scots don't even know how to behave in a hurricane. (Of course that wasn't a real hurricane, or you'd see the waves rising above the deck). But the fact that you'd call it one and then take a boat out in it is sort of the equivalent of some Indians saying "A blizzard! Fancy that, run along and put your sun dress on so we can go out in it and have tea!"

Re: Tales of Home [6]
I heard today that it might snow on Wednesday or Thursday instead of the rain that was previously called for.
Re: Tales of Home [6]
We're having lovely warm Autumn weather down here, which (as Eru's Chosen People) we can request. We don't like uncivilized weather in the civilized hemisphere.

Re: Tales of Home [6]
It rained this morning, but in the afternoon was nice and warm outside, at least in the areas with sunlight. Fingers crossed that the rumor about snow this week will prove unfounded.
Re: Tales of Home [6]
The sun is shinning here but its still frozen fish cakes

Re: Tales of Home [6]
20-30 cms of snow overnight and they call it a snow crisis. (#snøkrise) Which has lead to some, understandable, I guess, ridicule from other parts of the country. Although I think it was mostly people having changed to summer tires to early, and the snow being so wet it turned instantly slippery when compacted.
Still, a bit ridiculous one should have problems with snow in Norway.. in March..

Re: Tales of Home [6]
Cuddling and fireplaces...what a nice thought. Sad to say I've never been in a situation where both were together. I've never really wanted to live in cities, but always have, and fireplaces are a rarity. All the proper elements haven't lined up on trips to fireplacey places.
