Mayoralty 2014: nominations

I haven't a bad word to say about Norc - or any of the other candidates for that matter - but it may be just as well she's dropped out of the race. After all, she's totally unsuitable for High Office and she's a Fjordianlandian to boot, and possibly here without a work permit anyway.

Thanks for the nominations I guess I'll have to make up for being absent, though, especially since Mirabella has already established herself as such a fine candidate I do, however, have some doubts as to what Mirabella will do once she is elected Mayor - will she really do her best to be
As just as Eldorion?
As caring as Leelee?
As diplomatic as Orwell?
As friendly as Amarië?


When the shit hits the fan, will she have the courage to be
As crabbit as Petty?
As honest as Mrs Figg?
As calm as Halfwise?

As mayor, will she
Care for nature, like David?
Be scrutinous, like Bluebottle?
Willingly share information with the public, like Chris?
Have awesome taste in TV shows like Bungo and RA?

Appearing before the public, will she be
As eloquent as Elthir?
As light-hearted as Norc?
Able to crack a joke, like Azriel?
Shine like Tinuviel?

Most importantly, after she has retired - will she be as dearly missed as Ally, Kafria, GB and so many more? Ringdrotten may not be able to live up to all of the above, but he will never stop trying.

It's up to you.

Chairman of Full Council

Opening functions, events and new businesses as the council's representative

Attending award ceremonies and receptions at the request of local schools, businesses, voluntary and community groups

The Mayor also nominates one or more charities which he or she will support through various fundraising events during his or her term of office
So, attend meetings awake,
Attend ceremonies { then party like mad}
And my charity this year is.......... waste consumption.......or to put it another way...Peter Jacksons scripts & films to be consigned to the incinerator where such amount of bullshit could light & heat the homes for a 1000 people for 10 consecutive years thus saving valuable resources in our environmentally aware situation   

You make a compelling case about PJ Azriel, and on other policies, especially as I count myself as a charity and I could do with having my funds raised   

Norc- speech! speech!

One thing that's needed around here is more appreciation for our public servants.  In support of the long suffering Forumshire staff, if I'm elected,

• I'll pay every Forumshire officer TWICE as much as they currently get.  

• I'll make Orwell promise to show Eldo some respect. At least occasionally.

• All Mod names on the sidebar will be changed from dreary gray to sizzling sexy red.

• Fresh Bucky will be served at board meetings, not the old barrel skimmings presently passed around in used styrofoam cups.

• RA will be commissioned to make a shiny 'ELE' sign to hang on the Forumshire gates.

An interesting strategy, Halfy. I was expecting more populism from our candidates. I wouldn't say that sucking up is ever a bad strategy, but unfortunately, this election is run democratically, so the mods only have one vote each, the same as everyone else.

If the Buckie is bad, it's Petty's fault. It's his job to keep it in good condition!! It's not my fault he only leaves the dregs for everyone else!
