Re: Waiting for 'The Battle of the Five Armies'...
This is kinda old by now but I don't think it's been posted here before: the official transcript for BOFA, provided by Warner Bros Germany, originally posted on a German fansite.
http://www.theonering.net/torwp/2014/06/22/90301-hobbit-3-fact-sheet-what-do-we-actually-know-about-the-hobbit-the-battle-of-the-five-armies/#synopsis
PRO: They actually mention Tolkien here, unlike in most of the marketing material.
CON: It's confirmation that Sauron's army will be taking the place of the Misty Mountain goblins at the climactic battle (some people were still in denial about this, at least on other sites).
COULD GO EITHER WAY: The full translation posted on TORN's message boards includes Ian Holm in the cast list (though Elijah Wood is absent), so it looks like we might have another framing scene at the end of the trilogy.

From Academy Award®-winning filmmaker Peter Jackson comes “The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies,” the third in a trilogy of films adapting the enduringly popular masterpiece The Hobbit, by J.R.R. Tolkien.
“The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies” brings to an epic conclusion the adventures of Bilbo Baggins, Thorin Oakenshield and the Company of Dwarves. Having reclaimed their homeland from the Dragon Smaug, the Company has unwittingly unleashed a deadly force into the world. Enraged, Smaug rains his fiery wrath down upon the defenseless men, women and children of Lake-town.
Obsessed above all else with his reclaimed treasure, Thorin sacrifices friendship and honor to hoard it as Bilbo’s frantic attempts to make him see reason drive the Hobbit towards a desperate and dangerous choice. But there are even greater dangers ahead. Unseen by any but the Wizard Gandalf, the great enemy Sauron has sent forth legions of Orcs in a stealth attack upon the Lonely Mountain.
As darkness converges on their escalating conflict, the races of Dwarves, Elves and Men must decide – unite or be destroyed. Bilbo finds himself fighting for his life and the lives of his friends in the epic Battle of the Five Armies, as the future of Middle-earth hangs in the balance.

New pic -
Gandalfs has Radagasts staff in this, so presumably after whatever happens at Dol Guldur, but he has no wound which he gets in the book during the battle, so either before that, or its not in it.

Re: Waiting for 'The Battle of the Five Armies'...
Why does Gandalf have Radagast's staff again? They don't cycle through their staves all that often do they? I thought they were an important, if only symbolic, part of their wizard-status.

Gandalf's was destroyed by the inflamed vagina. So I'm guessing that he just takes it from Radagast.

But Radagast doesn't die! That can't be it.
