Re: Sherlock - BBC [3]
i love humour that seems dead serious it's so my type of humour like i was asked this dumbass question about what happened to my lip (long story i was bit by a dog) and i didn't feel like explaining so i just told him i swallowed swords in a dead serious manner and he believed me. and like in fear of insulting me he didn't ask anymore questions... so i just let him think that. reminds me a bit of benedict's humour.

It probably tried to kiss you
I love that sort of humour myself. When I first joined the army, one guy asked me if he could borrow my cell phone charger, to which I immediately replied "ikke faen heller" like I meant it ("fuck no", or something to that effect) - you should've seen his face I could hear him laughing in his bed long after we'd switched off the lights, I think he thought it was funny too (afterwards)

I was being incredibly clever, in just the right thread for it.

Re: Sherlock - BBC [3]
The one scene I really liked in "Sign of Three" was, when Sherlock interviews "david" as usher & says.."I have your contact details, I will be monitoring " etc, shlock goes on about this David guy tweeting Mary & texting, & how "David" is moved down in the wedding order, visits to Mary thru out the year, etc, Then, after David is convinced Sherlock is raving mad, Sherlock says " High functioning sociopath, with your number " & he gives that brilliant cheesy, full on grin, ! Loved it ! Its about 9.35 mins into the story ?

I enjoyed that- so much creative invention in how they did stuff.

Ed Sheerans take on Benedict drunk. Best part around 2 m.
Oh, and Luke Evans drunk for that matter.

Re: Sherlock - BBC [3]
Well, you have a firsthand account of how Benedict is drunk then.
The picking a fight thing sounds a bit out of character.
Rest might be quite close though. Mannerisms and all.

yeah, but he do know ash, tobacco ash that is, and he wants to prove he's right and the dude hit first. (also his reflexes are superb even when drunk)

Yeah, it's certainly an interesting tie in.
Do you know if anyone have picked up on the espresso martinis thing? Might turn out to be a staple Cumbertbatch drink.
Though espresso and martini must be some combined shock to the system.

Re: Sherlock - BBC [3]
2nd episode. the good bit. Sherlock and John pissed as farts was hilarious, the nose in the carpet, bum in the air bit made me LOL, (I think I have actually done that).
the bad bit, they will obviously kill Mary off in the next episode, it was getting too sugary.

Re: Sherlock - BBC [3]
book spoiler-
- Spoiler:
- I agree, in the books the marriage happened and ended within the three year space of Holmes absence. The wife who features later in the stories is wife number two and I dont think we find out what happens to her either, but there is eventually a wife number three for Watson. So in terms of following the books getting rid of Mary pretty quickly makes sense.

Re: Sherlock - BBC [3]
Its funny, I enjoyed the episode, it was brilliantly acted, but it wasnt Sherlock Holmes, it was too lovey dovey domesticated for my liking. I do like Mary but it has to be just John and Sherlock together without family and babies otherwise it gets a bit Eastenders. and we need some actual detective stuff happening.

Re: Sherlock - BBC [3]
From what I've heard about the final episode its a down to business one. Something I read somewhere said that for those who felt the first two were tonally off this one is more like series 2. I hope that's true as I do feel it has lacked that in the first two- I understood why in the first one, for the reunion, but I thought continuing that tone on into the second episode was just a bit too much. I was just left wanting a really good solid mystery to investigate.
