And nt related (other than by youtube it seems which is why I thought of this) another sadly late great of Scottish comedy, Rikki Foulton.
As you may know New Year is a bigger celebrationin scotland than any other and every Hogmanay for two decades friends and family would gaher fr the bells and get drunk and the whole country would stop to watch Rikki Foultons Scotch and Wry- the only show he did all year especially for New Year.
And one of his best loved characters, keeping a line of character from at least Burns Holy Wullie, the Rev I. M Jolly.

Stanley Baxter was great !! I remember happily watching him when I was knee high to the bread bin. He got those voices off perfectly !!
