Perhaps it was a good thing my iPod ran out of battery last night, all this talk about Danes I shouldn't really say things like that, though, it all belongs in the past now, and in the past it must remain (hum hum). They are really quite nice, just hate the fact that their language is still so dominant after all these years, especially since we've got our own beautiful language

Just read the "The departure of Boromir" chapter, so thought I'd re-post this vid in case some of the newcomes or those who joined late on the old forum hadn't seen/heard it. My favourite Tolkien poem/song, both in Norwegian and English, and this guy's version is beautiful

I like it Ringdrotten, but his singing style is a little to Chris De Burgh Crusaders for me (and De Burgh oldye syle ballad stuff is about as much De Burgh as I can cope with!)

I quite like that song Only heard one song by Chris De Burgh (well, two now!), "The Traveller" (which, for the record, I also liked ) Their styles are a bit similar, but it's not just the singing, it's the melody too. Love it

Crusaders is the only De Burgh album I can listen too without wanting to punch someone afterwards! And that song is one of the best on it- the one about the devil on a train or something I seem to remeber was alright too- been a long time- I shall see if I can find it.
