Re: The 2013 Forumshire Awards
What about a favourite fictional character from the creative corner category?
I've gotten through a bit of some of the stories and there are some wonderfull characters in there.

Yeah, I read some of that.

Re: The 2013 Forumshire Awards
Right serious category discussion tme.
As long term members will already know the Awards are split into sections-
Film Awards- Forum Awards- Creative Corner
Last years categories were as follows-
Film Awards-
Favourite Scene
Favourite Dwarf
Least favourite Dwarf
Best CGI Character
Worst CHI Character
Worst PJ Invention
Most surprisingly effective PJ addition
Hunkiest character
Characater you most want to slap
Part of the movie that was most worth the wait
The Forum categories were (those with an asterix are 'traditional awards' that have been with us since the first ceremony, this does not take them off the table for discussion just something to consider when deciding whether to drop or change a category)-
Most Liberal*
Most Pure*
Most Respected*
Best Nose*
Best Female
Best Male
Most Enigmatic*
Best Lore*
Best News Hound*
Best Newspaper*
Best Newcomer
Most Crabbit*
Most unique Forumshire device/phrase/meme
Best Avatar
Best Norcer
And the Creative Corner categories were-
Best serial
Best short story
Best author
Best Unfinished Tale
Best Graphic Illustration
So there you go.
We will need to come up with suggestion sfor the film category for DOS. So get your thinking caps on.
In the Forumshire awards I am not sure we need Best Newspaper any more, sadly, as the Archet Bugle is more suited to being nominated in the story section of Creative Corner and I dont think State News has published this year at all ( )
And I feel Creative Corner could be expanded to reflect the higher levels of activity there this year.
What do you all think?

Re: The 2013 Forumshire Awards
i like i'll try and read around the creative corner and see.. there are some reaaaaally long ones and some short ones some originals, som adaptions, some comedies.. and etc.
Re: The 2013 Forumshire Awards
... don't forget some unfinished ones! Where's the chapter, Norcy?
'Best author', would that be from all who have written something creative, or those who have been nominated?
We could have "best NotP edition"?

I take it the movie categories will refer to DoS only?

I might recommend changing "character you'd most like to slap" to "character you'd most like to lock in a room with an angry Norc" except that she actually seems to like the movie characters.

Re: The 2013 Forumshire Awards
We could have worst line of dialogue, worst new character (as in not in AUJ) as well as Best new character. Then we can do best and worst fabricated characters too.

Re: The 2013 Forumshire Awards
Worst line of dialogue!
(To think we've come to this point - notice nobody even thinks to suggest 'best line of dialogue', 'best scene', 'best new character'? )
