3. However, discussion of AUJ and speculation about what will happen in DOS is fair game.

I'd like to speculate about what will happen in Lake-town (as there will be a lot of made up stuff). What purpose will Alfrid serve? Do you think he will be the comedic foil of the master, or will he be more Wormtongue-esque?

Do you think the master might send him to try to dispatch the dwarves (or maybe Bard) and send them up the proverbial river?

Everyone has their own opinions of what counts as spoilers but I'd just as soon err on the side of caution. Not that I'm personally trying to avoid spoilers.

Anyway, I've gotten the sense that Alfrid will be a Wormtongue-like figure from the start. The Master is a distasteful character in the book, of course, and based on some comments in interviews a while back

but I wouldn't be surprised to see a darker and more violent side of this in addition to it being played for comedy.

I dont know 8 other people I dislike enough to invite them along. Took Nagual most of the year to forgive me for dragging him along to the first part. I rather think I will be going to DOS alone. (And frankly even I dont want to see it)
