Re: Holidays and absences [2]
I'm back to civilization. We had a pretty nice time over the weekend. I didn't take many pictures, but my dad did get this nice one of me and my step-mom's two Boston terriers. Some of you may have already seen it on Facebook.
Re: Holidays and absences [2]
Those dogs appear to be harnessed to pull something!

Re: Holidays and absences [2]
The one is harnessed in order to control, because she's a maniac (and able to slip out of a collar). She's a rescue and we've only had her for about six weeks and she's still coming 'round to the idea that she doesn't have to attack everyone she meets. The other one is harnessed because apparently her neck is sensitive and its more comfortable to clip the leash to the harness. Although she's my step-mom's favorite, so maybe she's just spoiled.
Re: Holidays and absences [2]
Are you sure that thing you are sitting/lying back on isnt in fact a sled you are cruelly making these little dogs pull so you dont have to walk?

Re: Holidays and absences [2]
I'm not saying I wouldn't do that if I had a sled, but it's actually just a very low folding chair.
Re: Holidays and absences [2]
Typical Admin type! Riding on my back all these years to keep Forumshire afloat - why wouldn't he use cute little puppy dogs and save using his opulent legs to walk around on? Do you think Petty is a mental dullard or something?

Re: Holidays and absences [2]
adorable picture u almost look like a dog person and i am not going to comment on that waaaay too even camping grounds
u know, short snouted dogs should always wear harnesses, a collar makes it even harder for them to breath (they have small noses) and it can make them collaps. Boston terriers aren't the worse case, but they should still always wear harnesses.

Re: Holidays and absences [2]
Thanks Norc. I do feel like I'm starting to become more of a dog person (reluctantly). It was a lot of fun camping though, but we had a two-year-old and two other kids under six or seven so we couldn't do anything too strenuous. {{{Not that most of the rest of us wanted to in the fisrst place... }}}
My step-mom has owned Bostons for like 25 years so I assume she knows all about them, but I don't pay too much attention to the dogs. Although one of them did sleep in my sleeping bag the first night (uninvited, I might add ).

Re: Holidays and absences [2]
aw, how nice i miss sleeping with a dog at my footend, although i woke up in the middle of the night with the dog lying on my back leopold is way to big and he climbs down after half an hour, he gets too warm.
edit: although he sneeks into my bed when i play violin. i don't think he likes violin play, i think he finds it to loud. he likes guitar though

It's said, if you lie with dogs you wake up with fleas --- and possibly a damaged reputation.

Re: Holidays and absences [2]
Africa is a big place Petty. Dont think EVERY river has those. Also dont think they tend to go for the fast flowing river option.
